GoodRx has introduced GoodRx Companion, a $14.99-per-month subscription program that combines prescription medication discounts with savings on a range of health care services, including eye exams, glasses, contact lenses, and laser eye surgery.

According to a press release on the launch, GoodRx intends to address rising out-of-pocket health care costs by providing members with access to more than 200 common generic medications at no cost, as well as to hundreds of additional generics for less than $10 at nearly every pharmacy nationwide. The membership also offers $19 telehealth visits through GoodRx Care for routine health needs. GoodRx says the membership may be particularly beneficial for consumers who manage chronic conditions, take multiple medications, or face limitations in their health insurance coverage.
