Eschenbach Optik of America has introduced the Magno Digital, a handheld electronic video magnifier designed for people with vision loss associated with conditions including macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. The compact device combines adjustable magnification with customizable viewing options to make reading and other detailed tasks easier, according to the company.

The Magno Digital features a 5-inch display and a magnification range of 3x to 48x. Four color-coded tactile control buttons are designed for straightforward operation, while 25 color-contrast modes and adjustable LED and screen brightness allow users to personalize the display for their visual needs.

An integrated fold-out handle provides multiple options for use. When fully extended, it creates a sturdy grip for handheld viewing and added stability. The handle can also be partially extended to prop up the magnifier for hands-free activities, such as threading a needle or reading the label on a prescription medication bottle. The Magno Digital weighs 7.8 ounces and is portable.
