COMPLETELY COMPATIBLE

CooperVision has expanded its suite of contact lenses designed for multifocal correction with the introduction of UltraVue PC Multifocal Toric for astigmatic presbyopes. The UltraVue PC Multifocal Toric utilizes CooperVision's patented PC Technology to create a unique biocompatible lens material, which allows the lenses to be more readily accepted by the eye for a more comfortable wearing experience. The two-lens Balanced Progressive technology is a multifocal system that maximizes binocular visual acuity at all ranges. A "D" lens for the dominant eye and an "N" lens for the non-dominant eye provide excellent binocular vision and stereopsis even in toric Rx's. Essilor of America has introduced Thin & Lite 1.74 with Crizal Alizé. Dubbed the "marquis lens choice for all patients," for optics, cosmetics, and comfort, Thin & Lite 1.74 with Crizal Alizé lenses are currently available in single vision and Varilux Panamic PAL options, both with Crizal Alizé AR. The lens design incorporates aspheric technology, which reduces optical aberration in the lens periphery. The lenses are in a power range of -20.00D to +8.00D up to a 4.00D cylinder in Varilux Panamic, and -18.00D to +10.00D up to a 4.00D cylinder in single vision. TAKE IT TO THE MAX

Targeting those who require higher amounts of light transmission due to existing eye conditions or low light environments, Live Eyewear has introduced MAX-LT, a polarized lens that delivers all the benefits of 100 percent polarization with improved light transmission levels. According to the company, MAX-LT lenses deliver approximately 40 percent of available light to the eye without compromising polarization efficiency. Oakley and Transitions have partnered to offer Oakley Transitions and Oakley Iridium with Transitions. The Rx lenses combine the technologies of Transitions V with ESP photo-chromic and Oakley Iridium lens coating and Oakley Plutonite lens material. Oakley Transitions lenses are virtually clear indoors, darken when exposed to direct sunlight, and achieve 84 percent light absorption. Oakley Iridium with Transitions lenses are slightly tinted in the inactive state and achieve a minimum of 89 percent light absorption when exposed to sunlight. The lenses are made of Plutonite, a proprietary Oakley material that blocks 100 percent UVA, UVB, and UVC. X-CEL EXPANDS

X-Cel Optical Company has expanded the Aris line of Trivex lenses to include semi-finished single vision and D28 bifocal styles. Aris lenses feature spherical curves, superior optics, impact resistance, and durability. They are AR compatible, scratch resistant, 100 percent UVA and UVB protective, and ideal for rimless and three-piece mounts. Abbe value is 43. Blank size is 67mm. Base curve 2.25 comes in a power range of -8.00D to -4.75D. Base curve 4.25 power range is -4.50D to -2.25D. Base curve 6.25 power range is -2.00D to +2.00D, and base curve 8.25 comes in powers of +2.25D to +5.50D. D28 add power range is +1.00D to +3.50D.
