Optometry Giving Sight has named Michael Goldsmid, OD, FAAO, of San Diego, Vision Source Philanthropist of the Year and Fern Hall, of the Lake Murray-San Carlos Optometric Center in San Diego, Staff Ambassador of the Year. The charity aims to provide vision care to underserved nations.

The Foundation for Eye Health Awareness elected a board of directors at a recent meeting. The board will replace the interim board established in October 2009.
