Watching for UV
polaroid Sunglasses from Safilo is offering a mobile app to help consumers become more aware of their UV exposure. The free app—called Polaroid UV Alert—is designed exclusively for iPhones and the Apple Watch and is also compatible with iPads and the iPod Touch.
This unique app measures UV radiation and alerts users when it reaches dangerous levels.
The app targets parents (children are more at risk than adults) and anyone who spends time outdoors, such as on the ski slopes.
It also includes detailed information on UV radiation and the importance of protection, as well as information on Polaroid polarized sunglass lenses (which provide 100% UV400 protection) and where to buy them.

{PRO TIPS}
5 THINGS A BUSINESS WEBSITE NEEDS
1. Search Engine Optimization
Search engines have two main functions: crawling and indexing sites, and providing a ranked list of websites based on their relevance to a search term. Optimizing your website for search engines will help it draw more visitors.
2. Trust-Building Features
Customer reviews or testimonials help potential customers feel more comfortable with your practice. Press mentions are another great addition. And don’t forget privacy seals, compliance seals, and hacker-safe seals, if applicable.
3. Mobile-Ready Version
Use responsive web design strategies for all of your web pages. Today, most people are likely checking out your site via their mobile devices.
4. Blog
A blog can be a strategic business tool that establishes your business as an expert that provides free, valuable information (on topics such as frame fashion, lens technology, and eye health) to your customers. Even bimonthly blogging can help build your fan base.
5. FAQs
Compile a list of the questions you and your staff hear the most often, and put them (and their answers) on your website.
Surprise! Learn What Your Website DOESN’T Need:
Music. Flash. Anything that auto-plays. Extraneous media. All of these things can slow down your site’s load time.
