NJ Eye and Ear is serving up a whole new way to shop.
Opened in January, its new, two-story downtown Englewood, NJ, location boasts a whopping 12,000 square feet brimming with 17 exam rooms, an abundance of eyewear displays, an upstairs pediatric center, cosmetic surgery, and even a small cafe with coffee drinks and plant-based pastries on tap.
“People will always remember how an experience made them feel, and that idea became the driving factor in the design of our downtown Englewood location,” says Steven Bernstein, optical director. “Children and parents can ride up the elevator with their strollers, play in a dedicated space, and choose from an entire selection of fun children’s frames. Adult patients enjoy their state-of-the-art experience on the first floor with an array of beautiful frames and sunglasses to choose from.”
This new space, with its dedicated pediatric floor, served as a unique project for One Interior. The company incorporated LED shelving—designed to display frames with a softer light impression but a very high color recognition. Plus, drawers house removable frame trays so that opticians can take a collection of frames to the dispensing table.
“Eye care is too often overlooked as a part of overall health and beauty,” says Bernstein. “It is our hope that with a patient-centered approach, eye care will become an enjoyable routine experience for every age group.”
