TREND #1
MENSWEAR-INSPIRED.
Women’s clothing and eyewear get inspo this season from the boys—menswear-inspired specs have bold, masculine lines and colors.
Frame: Oversized acetate Victoria Beckham style VB615S from Marchon Eyewear

TREND #2
SEE-THROUGH STYLE.
The prolific see-through trend in apparel makes its way into eyewear with color-flecked stained-glass effects on acetate silhouettes that have a beautiful interplay with light.
Frame: The l.a.Eyeworks Ivar brings on the appeal in a stained-glass-like tortoise acetate with ruby flecks.

TREND #3
CLEARLY ON-POINT.
Lightly tinted and practically clear, colored crystal acetates come into play this season to lighten up the mood—and serve up a style that is highly wearable.
Frame: The Koali 20075K from Morel pairs light blue and brown see-through acetate with a matte gold bridge and temples.

TREND #4
GEOMETRIC ANGLES.
Eyewear gets schooled with basic geometry in the mix, as classic silhouettes—from cat-eye and rounds to butterfly—break the mold with more angular, geometric-inspired lines.
Frame: The Tom Ford Tallulah TF767 from Marcolin is a head-turning triangular tortoise sunglass in acetate with gold hinges.

TREND #5
COLOR-BLOCKING.
As simple as that, color-blocking brings a totally fresh feel to eyewear by employing complementary and contrasting colors for a dramatic effect.
Frame: The CH Carolina Herrera SHE148 from De Rigo REM boasts an oversized square metal front, punctuated with an acetate geometric design in fuchsia, tan, and black.

TREND #6
SERIOUSLY SEVENTIES.
The reign of that ’70s decade continues, inspiring style in both apparel and eyewear this season. In specs, oversized and elongated square silhouettes make a strong case for the style of the “Me Decade.”
Frame: The Fendi FF0422 from Safilo channels the decadent decade in an oversized square gold semi-rimless silhouette.

TREND #7
THE RULES, REVISED.
Tilted, twisted, shifted. Eyewear no longer abides by the rules of old for the design of shapes and lines. Often with a geometric accent, design lines move in entirely new directions that are bringing eyewear into a fresh focus.
Frame: The Lindberg 8326 sunglasses boast a fresh, angular-meets-geometric design in blue acetate with gold-colored wire temples.
