CooperVision, Inc., announced the promotion of Michele Andrews, O.D., to vice president, professional & government affairs, Americas. Dr. Andrews joined CooperVision in 2015, serving as senior director of professional and academic affairs, North America.
◄ Kenmark Eyewear promoted Jason Wehlage to vice president of product and design. Wehlage began his career at Kenmark as a design assistant in 2001 and has held previous roles as product designer and director of product and design.
Brian Dever has been named chief development officer at Lighthouse Guild, bringing more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership and development experience to the role. Separately, Cheryl A. Pemberton-Graves has been named Lighthouse Guild’s chief volunteer officer. Pemberton-Graves joined the organization in 2007, and most recently served as director of volunteer resources.
◄ Satisloh Group appointed Bruno Fischer as CEO. Fischer joined Satisloh in 2001 and has previously served as CFO and COO. Pete Lothes, former president/CEO of the company, will take on a new leadership role within Essilor of America as SVP of operations and supply chain.

Equistone Partners Europe has agreed to sell its majority stake in Nuremberg-based Eschenbach Holding GmbH to Inspecs Group plc.
Essilor International and Myopia Profile Pty, Ltd., have partnered to empower ECPs with clinical knowledge, skills, and practice in managing childhood myopia. The companies also aim to spread public awareness of the consequences of myopia and will encourage parents worldwide to have their children’s vision tested.
Hilco Vision has acquired Germany-based reading glasses company I Need You.
◄ Marcolin Group opened a new branch in Sydney, Australia. The subsidiary is set to play a role in the growth in the APAC region, with the aim of strengthening the commercial synergies with the current regional office in Hong Kong. The branch houses a showroom, sales offices, and team dedicated to the local market.
Satisloh announced a newly formed team of technicians and in-house staff focused solely on its STEP (Satisloh Total Equipment Protection) customer service and preventive maintenance visits.

Optometry Giving Sight awarded a total of $50,000 in Covid-19 relief funds to nine nonprofits in the U.S. (Healing California, Lawndale Christian Health Center, Mezu International Foundation, Inc., Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry, Prevent Blindness, RestoringVision, Sight & Sound, Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity/International, and VOSH Nebraska) and three in Canada (Canadian National Institute for the Blind, Downtown Eastside Eye Clinic, and Vision Institute of Canada).
VSP Global and the American Academy of Optometry Foundation announced the recipients of the 2020 Practice Excellence Scholarship. Nearly $164,000 was awarded to 50 top-performing fourth-year optometry students in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Canada.

Bausch + Lomb reported its exclusive ONE by ONE Recycling program, in collaboration with TerraCycle, has recycled nearly 27 million used contact lenses, top foils, and blister packs since launching in November 2016.
