OptiPlus Anti-Fog Wipes Sampling Program
Designed to conveniently encourage patients to try anti-fog lens wipes while also cleaning their frames and lenses, the OptiPlus sampling program from Hilco Vision offers a launch kit with a compact floor display with samples that can be readily used and discarded.
“Depending on placement, sampling programs like the anti-fog wipes in-store solution typically increase product sales rates four to eight times,” says Steve Caggiano, global head of sales for Hilco Vision. “This solution is an economical way to enhance the patient experience while driving revenue for a practice location. We are excited to provide a program that provides a valuable experience to practices and patients who wear glasses, particularly with the continued use of masks.”
The display tower features four messages to help promote the program. The dispenser, which is equipped with a trash receptacle, holds 400 sample lens wipes.

Acuvue Abiliti
Johnson & Johnson Vision announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved Acuvue Abiliti Overnight Therapeutic Lenses, noting that this marks the first and only FDA-approved orthokeratology contact lens for the management of myopia. Abiliti Overnight contact lenses are expected to be available in the U.S. by the end of the year.
Each annual purchase of an Abiliti product will provide a free comprehensive eye health exam to a child in need through Sight for Kids—a program from J&J Vision in collaboration with the not-for-profit program from Lions Clubs International.
This launch follows J&J Vision’s recent collaboration with Menicon to develop therapeutic contact lenses to help manage the progression of myopia in children.
