Pride Priority

Ahead of Pride Month in June, eyewear designers of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (edCFDA) are joining forces for the third annual edCFDA Pride Eyewear Initiative.

The designers—Blake Kuwahara of Blake Kuwahara Eyewear, Christian Roth of Christian Roth Eyewear, Gai Gherardi and Barbara McReynolds of l.a.Eyeworks, Jeff Press of Press, Patty Perreira of Barton Perreira, Selima Salaun of Selima Optique, and Stirling Barrett of Krewe—have each launched a limited-edition sunglass design for the initiative, with a portion of proceeds collectively benefiting Bring Change to Mind.

The national organization, also known as BC2M, is dedicated to ending the stigma and discrimination surrounding mental illness. Specifically, the edCFDA’s donation will benefit BC2M’s high school programs, of which almost half of the teens identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community, and BC2M’s LGBTQ+ Youth Mental Health Task Force.
