Aug. 3, 2021 — ABB Optical Group has opened its signature community grants program, ABB Cares. Launched in 2014, ABB Cares has awarded more than $75,000 in grants to nonprofits across the U.S.
“After a challenging year, the ABB Cares program is needed now more than ever,” says ABB Optical Group CEO Tom Burke. “Nonprofits across the country were severely impacted by the pandemic. Our hope is that through this program, we can lend support in helping them get back on track. We are so grateful to the eyecare professionals that continue to bring these special charities to our attention, and we are excited for this year’s program and the impact it will have on so many in our local communities.”
ABB will award one ABB Cares platinum grant of $5,000, one gold grant of $2,500, and one silver grant of $1,000 to charities nominated by professionals in the industry, including optometrists, opticians, and office staff. Organizations do not need to focus on eye health to qualify for a grant.
