Sept. 17, 2021 — The Optical Women’s Association (OWA) has shared information on this year’s online auction, created to support OWA's various professional development programs of educating, mentoring, and connecting women in the optical industry.

Bidding will open at noon PST on Sunday, Sept. 19, and will run until 6 p.m. PST on Friday, Sept. 24. The auction is open to everyone, not just OWA members, and is accessible via a mobile device.

More than 40 items, including accessories, electronics, designer handbags, eyewear, gift sets, professional services, and more, have been donated by the OWA’s sponsors.

The OWA shares that to place a bid, auction goers must make sure they are registered. To do so, simply click on “register” at the top of the auction homepage and fill in all required information. Once submitted, users will immediately receive a text assigning a bidder number. Nearer to when the auction start, a text message will be sent to confirm and finalize the bidding procedure.
