Nov. 9, 2023 — Marcolin has announced its acquisition of ic! berlin, an independent eyewear manufacturer established in Berlin in 1996.
 
ic! berlin has been honored with multiple awards, including the Silmo d’Or award, and carries out in-house design, prototyping, manufacturing, and assembly to produce its line of luxury eyewear. Taking full control of the company, Marcolin will integrate the approximately 140 employees located at the Berlin headquarters and manufacturing plant and at subsidiaries in Japan and the U.S.
 
The acquisition reflects another step in Marcolin’s strategy of enhancing its metal manufacturing capabilities and broadening its luxury portfolio in addition to strengthening its market positioning in Asia and Europe.
