Dec. 7, 2023 — Optometry Giving Sight (OGS) recently kicked off its holiday campaign, ’Tis the Season to Give the Gift of Sight, to raise funds to support the organization’s mission of expanding optometry worldwide.
The campaign highlights personal stories from people whose lives have been changed by OGS’s efforts, including a 6-year-old boy in Jamaica receiving his first eye exam and eyeglasses and a 14-year-old boy in Cambodia addressing his developing vision issues with an OGS vision screening that visited his school.
In its mission to eradicate preventable blindness and vision impairment, the organization has helped provide eyecare services to more than 8 million people, assisted with training for more than 14,000 eyecare personnel, and established more than 130 vision centers.
