April 5, 2023 — The World Council of Optometry (WCO) and CooperVision’s virtual event hosted more than 1,700 registrants representing 123 countries. Now available on demand, “Myopia Management: Advancing the Global Standard of Care” featured experts sharing their insights on the global standard of care, including how they have implemented myopia management in their work, and highlighted patient experiences.
 
The presentations explore the myopia epidemic through real stories told by patients and eyecare professionals including professor Seang-Mei Saw, MBBS, MPH, Ph.D., FAMS, of Duke-NUS Medical School in Singapore; assistant professor Kai-yip Choi, Ph.D., of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Optometry; consultant ophthalmologist Foo Li Lian of the Singapore National Eye Centre and Myopia Centre of Excellence; Indie Grewal, BSc (Hons) MCOptom DipTp (IP); professor Cert Glau, FBDO, FBCLA; Jessica Haynes, O.D., FAAO, FORS, Dipl ABO, of the Southern College of Optometry Advanced Care Ocular Disease; Yasmin Whayeb, BSc (Hons) MCOptom; and Kyle Klute, O.D., of Good Life Eyecare.
