Sept. 19, 2024 — Eyecare Business’s editor-in-chief Kerri Ann DeCindis kicked off Vision Expo West in Las Vegas on Thursday, Sept. 19, with The Vision Council (TVC) CEO Ashley Mills for a preview of the many offerings of the optical trade show.

• The United Opticians of America makes its Vision Expo debut as a unified group representing opticianry, featuring Europa CEO Scott Shapiro for an industry Q+A event taking place at the Innovation Stage.
• A pickleball court, open to attendees on the show floor, promotes the importance of sports performance eyewear, which The Vision Council conducted market research on earlier this year.
• The NOW award-winning frames from Vision Expo East 2024, featured in a dynamic installation on the show floor.
