Ken Barbet has been named CEO of CSI Dry Eye Software. With more than 30 years of leadership experience, including 15 years in the eyecare industry, Barbet previously held leadership roles at Eye Recommend and founded Vision Alliance Partnership.

Marcolin has appointed Robb Rey as director of sales, U.S., for its newly established Atelier Division. Rey brings more than 25 years of experience in the eyecare industry with a focus on luxury eyewear and will oversee brands such as ic! berlin, ZEGNA, and Christian Louboutin.

Mark E. Nakano, OD, associate dean of clinics and assistant professor at Marshall B. Ketchum University’s Southern California College of Optometry, has been named the 2024 Keyperson of the Year by the California Optometric Association, which recognizes individuals for significant contributions to advocacy, leadership, and legislative efforts in optometry. Dr. Nakano has been actively involved in expanding access to vision care through the establishment and leadership of multiple community clinics serving underserved populations in Southern California. He recently played a central role in launching the Angels for Sight Vision Clinic in Long Beach, which provides patient care and clinical training opportunities for optometry students.
