Jan. 16, 2025 — Transitions Optical Inc. has announced the finalists for its 2024 Transitions Innovation Awards, honoring individuals and organizations across North America for their commitment to advancing innovative programs and technologies over the past year.
Winners will be revealed at the 2025 Transitions Academy, taking place Feb. 2–5 at the JW Marriott Grande Lakes in Orlando, FL.
“We are proud to recognize the exceptional achievements of this year’s finalists,” says Drew Smith, senior director, North America channels, Transitions Optical. “They have set new standards of excellence in our industry while demonstrating commitment to our core values of quality, education, service, and innovation.”
The awards are divided into four categories: Transitions Healthy Sight Ambassador, Eyecare Practice of the Year, Retailer of the Year, and Channel Partner of the Year.
Transitions Healthy Sight Ambassador highlights individuals who have demonstrated dedication to promoting eye health and Transitions’ values within their practices and communities. The finalists are:
- Brandy Yeack, CPOA, practice manager at Valley Eye Care in Corvallis, OR
- 2024 #EBGameChanger Ric Peralta, ABOC, consultant and senior optician/lab manager at Focal Point Optometry in Fullerton, CA
Eyecare Practice of the Year, North America, recognizes independent practices with fewer than 20 locations in the U.S. or Canada for their commitment to Transitions’ values and enhancing customer vision. Finalists include:
- Eye Specialists of Mid-Florida P.A. (locations across Florida)
- Eye Station Optical, Richmond, British Columbia
- Vision Plus Optometrists Corporation, Steveston, British Columbia
Retailer of the Year, North America, honors retailers with 20 or more locations that actively uphold Transitions’ values while prioritizing customer vision and community engagement. Finalists are:
- Henry Ford OptimEyes
- Sam’s Club
- Theodore & Pringle Optical
Channel Partner of the Year, North America, recognizes organizations such as optical laboratories and vision care companies and their efforts to promote healthy sight and support Transitions’ mission. The 2024 finalists are:

- Vision Source
