SightGlass Vision announced that its DOT spectacle lenses for myopia control have won a Gold Stevie Award for Technology Breakthrough of the Year. Presented in the Healthcare Technology category at the 2026 Stevie Awards for Technology Excellence, the award recognizes DOT lenses' novel contrast management approach to slowing myopia progression in children and was designated by judges as a "standout healthcare technology innovation,” according to a company press release.
SightGlass Vision's winning entry, "DOT Spectacle Lenses Offer a Groundbreaking New Approach to Protecting Children's Eyesight," highlighted the company's clinical research, rapid adoption of the lens, and continued investment in educating eyecare professionals on the power of contrast management for myopia control. Among the achievements cited: New 2-year data showed that DOT spectacle lenses saved more than 1 D of myopia progression on average after 2 years in Chinese children aged 6 to 10.1*
The award follows on the heels of another recent honor: SightGlass Vision was named a finalist for Healthtech Company of the Year at the 2026 UK Business Tech Awards, which recognizes organizations driving meaningful innovation in health technology.
The Stevie Awards for Technology Excellence celebrate the accomplishments of individuals, teams, and organizations shaping the future of technology across all industry sectors. This year, more than 700 nominations from organizations in 37 countries and territories were submitted for consideration in a wide range of tech-related categories. The winners will be honored during a recognition dinner on October 28 in Paris.
