In honor of Día de Muertos, Ray-Ban has launched a new Wayfarer sun style from EssilorLuxottica in celebration of Mexican culture, featuring vivid, authentic imagery from artist Alejandra Ballesteros.
Using design elements that mirror the traditional adorning of altars and streets on Nov. 2, this limited-edition Wayfarer features orange and purple—two colors inspired by papel picado (perforated paper)—on the temple interior and a calveras de azúcar (sugar skull) on the temple tip.
The festive frames come in special-edition packaging that depicts the sugar skull wearing the Wayfarer style along with other iconic details, such as pan de muerto (bread of the dead) and cempasúchil (marigolds).
