Tim Gentry has been named Essilor of America, Inc.'s, new vice president and controller. He will be responsible for financial reporting for Essilor of America and for transaction processing activities. He served most recently as corporate controller at Darling International and had a 13-year career with Fina Oil and Chemical Company. He replaces Kathy Rismiller, who is now vice president of business analysis.

Frank R. Fioramonti is the Opticians Association of America's new special counsel for legislative and regulatory affairs. He was previously a New York State Assistant Attorney General for 15 years and managed a private law practice in New York City. He will review state legislative and regulatory activity impacting opticians while providing guidance for the OAA's legislative and regulatory concerns.
Panoptx Eyewear has named Jackson Hogen as director of marketing, bringing his 30 years of industry experience to the position. Hogen has worked with several companies in the winter sports, outdoor, and technology industries, including Snow Country Magazine, Ski Magazine, Warren Miller Entertainment, and Head Tyrolia Wintersports.
Robert J. Moore was promoted to vice president and general manager of U.S. vision care and OTC pharma business at Bausch & Lomb. Moore has been vice president of marketing for the Americas since his 2001 return to the company. Previously, he was executive vice president of marketing with Staples, Inc.
Eyewear designer David Duralde has returned to the Kenmark Group as the vice president of creative development. Duralde left Kenmark in 2003 as director of product design to serve as director of product design, USA, at Sàfilo.
Tara Cortes is Lighthouse International's new president and CEO. Cortes moves from her position as a senior VP with the Yale New Haven Health Care System to lead Lighthouse. Cortes has 38 years of experience in the health care industry, including a doctoral degree in nursing science and research.
The Southern Council of Optometrists has named Elizabeth Taylor its new executive director. Taylor has more than 15 years of experience in ophthalmic industry association management experience, including work as the senior director of operations and meetings for the Vision Council of America. She will be managing the council and the annual SECO International Meeting.
Daniel Shack has joined L'AMY America as product manager for Columbia Sportswear Eyewear. Shack previously held positions with Marine Optical and The Eyedrx. He will report to Laurent Raynaud.

BUSINESS UPDATES
Expanding its branding plans, OptiSource International has integrated its Nu-Chem Laboratories, Hunter Delatour, Case Craft, and LensCleaner.com acquisitions and 7,000 products into the brand name OptiSource. The new OptiSource brand consists of seven separate product divisions: Finishing, edging, surfacing, lens cleaners, optical tools, exam supplies, and profitable accessories, and offers optical goods, equipment. The firm supplies these categories to ECPs and labs.
Additionally, the company has completed construction of a new building which houses all divisions while allowing additional space for expanding manufacturing and customer support staff.
Optivision, a provider of laboratory management systems and software solutions, has agreed to continue its integration with VisionWeb. Under the agreement, the two companies will integrate the Optivision Laboratory Management System with Vision-Web, allowing labs running the Optivision system the ability to receive orders electronically from ECPs through the VisionWeb Essential online service.
Luzerne Optical and Quality Optical have become authorized laboratories and distributors of the INDO family of lens products.
