Vistakon, a division of Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, has introduced the Acuvue Oasys Brand Contact Lenses with Hydraclear Plus for dry eye CL wear. Oasys is the first CL made from senofilcon A, a new silicone hydrogel material that helps wearers facing dry-eye-inducing environments. In addition to a smooth feel, the lens features an improved formulation of Hydraclear technology that combines an oxygen-rich material with a moisture-rich wetting agent. Vision-Ease Lens has launched LifeRx, a new, branded photochromic lens. The initial roll-out offering includes polycarbonate D28 bifocal, aspheric semi-finished single vision, and Illumina progressive addition lens designs. The lenses offer indoor clarity, activate quickly, and deactivate 50 percent faster than other photochromic lenses, according to company representatives.
