Sama Eyewear Unveils Incognito

Sheila Vance, designer of Sama Eyewear, introduces Incognito, a new collection of understated women's and men's luxury eyewear. The Incognito Collection offers a bold "disguise" with darker lenses and thicker, more opaque colored plastics. This collection of chic, cool, classics features subtle details and richly muted color scheme of blacks, browns, and deep burgundies. Vance set out to design a simple product range that has a vintage feel for a sophisticated customer who wants to have the cool veneer of the most luxurious frames to hide behind. The Japanese plastic sunglasses group is comprised of three women's frames: Rumor, Secret, and Whisper, and four styles for men: Anonymous, Shadow, Silhouette, and Tempted. Each frame name was chosen to be reflective of the theme of the collection. For the first time, Vance has chosen to feature a signature brand emblem at the temple of each frame that is subtle but substantive. The emblem, resembling a three-dimensional pyramid in silver or gold, follows the line of the temple horizontally, and will be consistent throughout the collection and all new releases of Incognito in the future. SWEDE Designs

MODO Serves Up Tretorn Modern, outdoor lifestyle brand Tretorn has partnered with Modo to launch the Tretorn Glasogon collection of men's and women's eyewear. The collection is named after the Swedish word for eyewear and consists of 16 ophthalmic and 12 sunglass styles available in four colors each. The selection includes plastic and metal options as well as plastic and metal mixes. Subtle, clean, and inviting designs incorporate a fun color palette. A spring hinge engineered by Modo is featured and is laid out to represent the elements of the Swedish flag, the inspiration for the Tretorn logo. Packaging and in-store displays range from a modular wood display to a wooden card holder. The eyewear case is a recyclable paper cylinder tube, lined in blue or yellow fabric to signify the Swedish flag.
