CONVERSE HYBRID COLLECTION'S GOT GAME
A fusion of the past and the future reflects the new Converse Carbon Hybrid Collection sunwear from REM Eyewear. The frames are constructed of injected carbon graphite and TR- 90 nylon that provides strength and flexibility in eight lightweight styles. In addition, the bonding of co-injected rubber, "vulcanization," enhances the sunglasses' performance, company representatives note. Similar to the sneakers' construction, vulcanized rubber is adhered to the carbon hybrid material, providing increased comfort and performance. The collection reflects a blending of fashion and sports lifestyle sensibilities with classic wrap styles, fashion-forward modern aviator shapes, and bold rectangles. The styles feature polarized lenses and many of the models also feature a built-in sun visor designed to prevent harmful rays, reduce glare, and block wind. OPTIQ GIVES MARILYN MONROE RED CARPET TREATMENT
Photographs of the actress Marilyn Monroe, now part of the Shaw Family Archives, have inspired the creation of the Marilyn Monroe line from Optiq. Photographer Sam Shaw's unique style captured actress Marilyn Monroe at her most iconic, and his image of her standing on a subway grate during the filming of the Seven Year Itch is the stuff Hollywood legends are made of. Over the years, Shaw and Monroe worked together to create memorable images that helped cement the actress' place in the show business firmament. The collection features eight ophthalmic styles in plastic and metal full-rim and semi-rimless models as well as two sunglass styles. Each frame is designed with a distinctly updated retro flair plus a touch of the glamour that the actress embodied. P.O.P. includes a six-piece frame display featuring an image of the actress.
