| The Kenmark Group is releasing three new ophthalmic styles into its Jhane Barnes Eyewear collection with an emphasis on using recycled materials. The collection is inspired by the designs of Jhane Barnes and her commitment to the environment. Each new style incorporates Barnes's design aesthetic into designer frames for men that are eco-friendly. Utilizing innovative techniques, these frames feature thin sheets of recycled wood pulp that are laminated into an acetate temple consisting of 30 percent recycled scrap. The new, masculine styles feature titanium fronts and use biodegradable demo lenses made from corn rather than standard petroleum-based demo lenses. | ProDesign's new collection sprang from the desire to create bold effects by cutting into layers of titanium. Company representatives note that the exclusive collection with a beautiful color play mirrors the graphic ProDesign look. The collection can roughly be split into two series. A masculine series with dynamic and graphic carvings throughout the temples is available in two classic shapes and one sportier style. They come in four deep and rich colors, which combine with the stylish cuttings and exclusivity to add roughness to the look. As a contrast, ProDesign presents a series for women with carved graphic flowers throughout the temples. In order to create a not-too-feminine look, the pattern is more graphic in its expression than the ornaments familiar from the Iris series. Three exclusive basic colors recur in all four models, and they are supplemented by feminine colors such as red, purple, matt gold, and olive green.
