THE S FACTOR
Essilor of America, Inc., reports that its new Varilux S Series lenses defy the limits of previous progressive lenses in every area of performance. Comprising three different designs—Varilux S Design, Varilux S Fit, and Varilux S 4D—the series is backed by new Nanoptix and SynchronEyes technologies. Nanoptix reengineers the structure of the lens during calculation to eliminate swim effect. SynchronEyes uses the Rx from both the left and right eyes simultaneously to calculate a design that allows for better retinal image matching, spatial perception, and edge-to-edge clarity. Varilux S 4D lenses also include 4D technology, available through the Visioffice System, which factors in the leading dominant eye and personalized measurements for faster visual reaction time.
