Flexon Molds Future Plans
Eyecare Business recently spoke with Annamaria Rizzato, Marchon Eyewear’s vice president, Global Collection, about Flexon’s latest developments and how it’s moving into the future
EB: WHAT IS EVOLVING IN THE FLEXON COLLECTION THAT WILL CAPTURE POTENTIAL WEARERS’ ATTENTION?
ANNAMARIA RIZZATO: The latest Flexon Evolution Series is targeted towards the modern, tech-savvy, and active man who is looking for a superior product to complete his contemporary overall look. The Flexon Laser Precision family features laser-like beams, often captured in photography, that are translated onto the temple design. The laser process cuts fine diagonal lines along the temples’ dark matte surface, revealing the lighter base color underneath. The Flexon Parallel Universe family features two streamlined Flexon bars that run alongside one another to create a frame representing strength and structure.
EB: HOW DO YOU HELP ECPS PRESENT AND SELL FLEXON?
AR: Since consumers are the ones who make the final decision inside the point of sale, the way in which products are displayed is so crucial. Flexon is reinventing itself with newer, more evolved products; therefore, the product displays are following in this direction.
Additionally, we have developed a brand video, showing when and how Flexon was born, how the frames are made at our original Japanese vendor, and how they speak to current consumers. The video can be played on any screen in-store and can be used for training or specific presentations. We also created a detailed merchandising video targeted toward ECPs, enabling them to better understand the new Flexon products. The video explains how to create a specific merchandising board to highlight the new Flexon products in order to attract and engage consumers. Lastly, the new Evolution Series press release includes a video that shows where each frame finds its inspiration.
