Winter Fun

getting out in the cold this winter might be a little more fun with the right sunglasses. L’Amy America announces the launch of two new polarized models for the Columbia Eliminator Performance collection. With features such as lightweight frame technology and polarized lenses that effectively block uncomfortable glare, Vasco styles 100 and 200 illustrate Columbia’s core values of outdoor, long-wear comfort and performance.

Vasco 100 and Vasco 200, designed for work-to-play functionality, are classically styled with a sport bridge for a masculine edge. Frames have fronts made of durable, anti-corrosive stainless steel and temples constructed of Columbia’s exclusive “Hyper Lite 90” featherweight, dual-injected plastic.

“Our new additions are the perfect example of Columbia’s outdoor solutions design philosophy,” says worldwide business unit manager Connie Reiss.

The design was built for everyday wear, but it can also withstand the rigors of an outdoor lifestyle, she adds.

“Our Eliminator polarized sunglass models offer Rx-ability and feature Eliminator polarized lenses, Columbia’s exclusive multi-layered lens technology. Eliminator polarized lenses eliminate 99.9% of reflected glare and are equipped with anti-scratch and shatter-resistant properties,” Reiss notes.

The Columbia Performance Sun collection is supported by point-of-purchase marketing materials such as countercards, large-format imagery, and counter and floor displays.

Each model has three color options, and each sunglass includes a semi-rigid, zipper case with carabineer clip for easy storage.

The Trancas, Mulholland, Emerson, and Presidio feature SPY’s Happy Lens, acetate frames, mixed metal accents, and lustrous details. Trancas is a sturdy, handmade acetate, deep rectangle sunglass in black, matte black, classic camo, plum camo tort, and scarlet. Mulholland is a handcrafted geometric shape built from stainless steel and handmade acetate in black horn, melon, plum, and dark tort.
