We’ve heard so many amazing things about Minneapolis. If we’re there for just a day, what should we do to truly experience the city?
Minneapolis is a great art-focused and fun city. I’d start the morning with a breakfast at Hell’s Kitchen in Minneapolis and then head over to the Walker Art Center to catch some of the best modern art in the U.S. (You’ll also be able to take a picture with the iconic spoon and cherry in the sculpture garden outside the museum.)
I’d then head out for one of two afternoon activities: A tour, lunch and beer tasting at the awesome Surly Brewery or take in a baseball game at the Twins outdoor stadium, Target Field.
If you feel like you need to walk off a little beer or lunch head over to one of the many Minneapolis lakes (Lake Calhoun is my favorite) for a quick walk on the beautiful trails.
Dinner should be at my favorite restaurant, Spoon and Stable, followed by an evening concert at the Dakota Jazz Club on First Avenue.
