New to the Max Mara eyewear collection is Lavaprisms, limited-edition sunglasses representing the third collaboration between Max Mara, Safilo Group, and emerging international artists.

The sunglasses, style MM KB/UB, are the result of the fusion of artistic visions from painter Kerstin Brätsch and the United Brothers collective (founded by brothers Ei Arakawa and Tomoo Arakawa).

The artists drew creative inspiration from volcanoes and nature for the sunglasses, which feature a thin lava red line on the inner right temple, precious materials such as natural stone, and the signature Prism detail, presented for the first time with a coarse finish.

The unique, oversized shield lens front displays contrasting colors, with a silver mirrored upper portion of the lens and a solid gray lower portion.
