Donuts. Selfies. Fathers. It must be June! Jump in for our monthly lineup of brand-defining social media content (and free downloadable images).
it makes me smile just thinking about the month of June. First of all, donuts. Second of all, donuts. Other than posting about my favorite food group, this month we will also continue our WordSwag app lesson from May (see EB’s May issue for lesson No. 1). In addition, I have created a campaign for Cataract Awareness Month and will be updating you with some fun, inspiring, and free downloads. Because, donuts always put me in a good mood.
June 1: National Donut Day
Now that donuts are available vegan and gluten-free, no one is safe. On June 1, it is your civic duty to post a donut photo with a fun caption. Can’t think of a fun caption? No problem. Feel free to borrow one of mine. Just don’t forget to hashtag #NationalDonutDay.
June Dates to Post About:
June 1: #NationalDonutDay
June 8: #NationalBestFriendsDay
June 17: #FathersDay
June 21: #NationalSelfieDay
June 27: #NationalSunglassesDay
June 30: #SMDay (Social Media Day)
Cataract Awareness Month
Cataracts are one of the leading causes of blindness in the world. Educate patients and customers with a dedicated social media campaign.
You can kill two birds with one stone on June 27 when it happens to also be National Sunglasses Day. And, if you find yourself truly inspired, doing a Facebook Live video about cataract prevention would be the cherry on top.

JUNE BONUS LESSON: HOW TO WORDSWAG, PART II
Whether you are posting a photo of your dad on June 17 or a photo of a pair of sunglasses on June 27, the concept is all the same. Today we are going to learn how to WordSwag—add copy to product shots.
STEP 1: Set up, take, edit, and save your photo to your smart phone. Here, we have a photo of stylish glasses.
STEP 2: In the WordSwag app, select the photo from your “Camera Roll” and crop it to a square.
STEP 3: Insert your copy in the color and style of your liking, and select “Save.” In this example, I chose the color black in the style Key West.
STEP 4: Post your final photo to your social media accounts with a caption celebrating Father’s Day and #FathersDay. Congrats, you did it!
