Coburn Technologies, Inc., appointed Jason Frank as sales manager for the Latin America market. Most recently, Frank was employed with Hoya as director of commercial operations in Latin America.

Maui Jim appointed Nathan McKinley as senior sales director for the ophthalmic division, a new position. McKinley previously worked with Kaenon Polarized and Tom Davies for the past 13 years.

BUSINESS UPDATES

Essilor Vision Foundation (EVF) has partnered with the Lions KidSight USA Foundation, the charitable arm of Lions Clubs International. EVF is offering its Changing Life through Lenses program to Lions KidSight USA Foundation’s members and charitable eye doctor network.

UnitedHealthcare and Essilor launched a national vision laboratory network, designed to better serve ECPs and meet the needs of more than 19 million vision plan participants.

AWARDS

Essilor won the Best Use of Technology award at the 2019 GEO Awards organized by the Global Equity Organization. This award recognizes the digital solutions developed by the Essilor Group to promote employee shareholding.

Through its Growing Through Giving Program, PECAA has raised $116,000 for Optometry Giving Sight. The program is funded through a combination of member support and matching contributions from PECAA corporate and Carl Zeiss Vision.

Randolph announced its support of America’s VetDogs. During promotional periods, Randolph will donate $1 from every frame sold to the charity.
