◄ CooperVision Specialty EyeCare has promoted Ledonna Buckner to head technical advisor and hired Christine Moufarrej as head of marketing, EMEA. Buckner most recently served as Mid-Atlantic regional account manager for Blanchard, as well as a trainer for the CooperVision Specialty EyeCare commercial sales and consultation teams. Moufarrej joins the company from pharmaceuticals manufacturer Stada, where she was most recently the group marketing and business development manager in Dubai.
Gina Carey has joined Eschenbach Optik of America, Inc., as controller. A former “Big Four” accountant and auditor, Carey joins Eschenbach after several years as a consultant.
GSRx, Inc., has promoted Bonnie DeMark to director of customer interaction, an extension of DeMark’s previous position as GSRx’s onboarding specialist. Tasha Morgan, who has been with the company since its inception in 2013, has been promoted to business systems manager and operations/customer service liaison.

◄ Privé Revaux, an eyewear brand acquired by Safilo in February 2020, has appointed Maureen Cavanagh as senior vice president of global sales. Cavanagh brings more than 25 years of optical industry experience to the role, most recently with Essilor of America.

◄ Prevent Blindness announced R.V. Paul Chan, M.D., of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary at the University of Illinois at Chicago, has been named as the recipient of the 2021 Jenny Pomeroy Award for Excellence in Vision and Public Health. Shervonne Poleon, vision science graduate program student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, has been named the recipient of the second annual Prevent Blindness Rising Visionary Award.
