Following his appointment as CEO of Neurolens, Pierre Bertrand has announced the company’s leadership structure: Mark Kremer has been elevated to chief revenue officer; Danny Perales as chief operating officer will remain focused on regulatory, quality, and international business; Aric Plumley as chief technology officer will continue to concentrate on research and development, product, and innovation pipeline; Gregory Boisse as vice president of strategy and operations will oversee manufacturing, sales enablement, and supply chain functions; and Brant Southwell as vice president of marketing will continue to implement long-term organizational growth strategies.
▴ The Optical Women’s Association (OWA) announced its new president and three additional board members. Deb Bulken, Luxottica’s vice president of sales (Eastern region) and previous OWA vice president, has assumed the role of OWA president. Trudi Charest, co-founder of Marketing4ECPs; Courtney Myers, senior vice president of Red Havas; and Janna Neal, vice president of operations for Zyloware, have been named as OWA board members.
◄ VSP Global appointed Indar Chaudhuri as president of VSP Optics, responsible for its laboratory network, ophthalmic sales, product development, and supply chain operations. Chaudhuri succeeds Don Oakley, who served as president of VSP Optics since 2006. Oakley will now serve as a strategic adviser, focusing on the organization’s supply chain.

Canadian-based diversified health care provider FYidoctors has made an initial expansion into the U.S. market, adding six eyecare clinics throughout California.
The Global Myopia Awareness Coalition has announced that the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness has joined the organization and will be represented on its board of directors.
Safilo has partnered with Coventya to exclusively launch “Metal X,” a new Coventya patent that dramatically reduces the use of palladium in eyewear production. Specifically, the process allows the use of precious metals in galvanic treatments for production of optical frames and sunglasses to be reduced by 90%, share the companies.
