ESSILOR
Crizal Sapphire HR Coating
Essilor of America has announced the launch of Crizal Sapphire HR, the latest innovation of the company’s Crizal No-Glare lens.
Crizal Sapphire HR unites technologies used in previous generations of the coating—360° Multi-Angular Technology and High Surface Density Process—with the addition of Essilor’s new High-Resistance Technology.
According to the company, the 360° Multi-Angular Technology amplifies anti-reflective efficacy, resulting in a more transparent lens, and the High Surface Density Process reinforces resistance to smudges and water on both sides of the lens for easier cleaning. The new High-Resistance Technology reportedly enhances lens durability, and Crizal Sapphire also offers protection from harmful UV light.
According to Essilor, 9 out of 10 wearers state they would purchase Crizal No-Glare lenses again, and 4 out of 5 prefer Crizal No-Glare lenses over ordinary ones.
GSRX
Aura Night+Day Progressive Lens
GSRx has released the Aura Night+Day (ND) progressive lens, a premium fixed-corridor lens that features ND4 Pupil-Optimized Correction, which the company says delivers enhanced contrast and clearer vision at night and in low-light conditions.
The Aura ND lens features the same technology as GSRx’s Epik Variable lens, but its fixed-corridor design allows for specific patient needs. According to GSRx, the technology provides for visual acuity over the entire lens, natural posture while reading, high-quality 3D vision and spatial perception, spontaneous compatibility, sharp vision, and fatigue-free reading.
The Aura ND lens is available in fitting heights of 14, 17, and 20mm. It will be available at one price point for all materials (CR-39, Trivex, PolyTrue, 1.60, TriBrid, and 1.67).
