New sunglasses and ophthalmic styles make a statement with bold colorways, chic details, and versatile shapes; the accompanying eye-catching, AI-based campaign emphasizes the brand’s innovative DNA.
The Italia Independent Azzurro (pictured below) is a standout style in the new assortment, pairing a velvet frame front with acetate temples.

Ferrari is expanding its eyewear offerings with two distinct yet complementary collections from EssilorLuxottica: the Ferrari line, with fashion-focused, lifestyle designs, and the Scuderia Ferrari line, sporty styles inspired by Formula One racing. These licensed collections (which feature both ophthalmic styles and sunglasses) will continue alongside the Ray-Ban for Scuderia Ferrari line. Highlights include made-in-Japan titanium constructs, leather inserts, and eye-catching logo details.
Pictured is the Ferrari 0FH1007, a stunning shield style with metal components that flow from the frame front to the temples.

◄ Marcolin has signed an exclusive global licensing agreement for the design, manufacturing, and distribution of Christian Louboutin sunglasses and optical frames until 2029. Separately, the company has renewed its licensing agreements with Max&Co. and Zegna until 2030.
• Safilo Group has signed an agreement for the acquisition of a minority stake in Spaarkly, an innovative e-commerce startup that specializes in augmented reality. Safilo has used Spaarkly’s ARshades, a suite of software and services for virtual eyewear try-on, on its Polaroid and Carrera e-commerce websites.
• Serengeti Eyewear (owned by Bollé Brands) has announced it is returning to its North American roots; the company has relocated all brand operations from Lyon, France, to Carlsbad, CA. “This will both amplify our growth in North America and support the momentum of our already strong European business,” says Joe Freitag, vice president of brand for Serengeti.
Modern Elegance
Calvin Klein eyewear, available from Marchon, has launched its latest campaign, starring Emmy-nominated actress Camila Morrone as captured by renowned photographer Josh Olins.
“I have always admired Calvin Klein’s contemporary elegance, which is why I was excited to be a part of this eyewear campaign,” says Morrone. “Shooting in New York and walking through downtown, I felt the confident energy that Calvin Klein has always stood for.”
Here, Morrone sports the Calvin Klein CK24520, an acetate butterfly silhouette with pin hinges and custom core wire.
Joyful Charm
Carolina Herrera unveils its Spring/Summer 2024 eyewear collection and corresponding campaign from Safilo. “Forever Summer” features elegant portraits highlighting the brand’s classic-yet-contemporary appeal.
Here, the Carolina Herrera HER 0244/S, part of the brand’s Essential subcollection, is crafted with a skillful gluing technique to highlight the frame’s chic color combinations.
The SS24 assortment features “strong silhouettes and timeless approach to detail,” shares Wes Gordon, the brand’s creative director, in an exclusive Designer Vision interview in the March issue of EB.
