Dr. Wyler knew from an early age that optometry was his calling.
“I see myself in many of the kids I treat, knowing I am helping improve their vision with the hope it will also lead to an improvement in their future,” he says of Lancaster Eye Center, a practice he opened cold in his hometown of Lancaster, KY, in December of 2019.
Since then, the practice has grown to just over 4,000 patients per year, many who are underprivileged and underserved, he shares.
“Prior to my office, there was not a provider within the county for decades, resulting in many children not receiving proper care,” he says.
His passion for the profession has not gone unnoticed: He was named Kentucky’s Young Optometrist of the Year 2023 by the Kentucky Optometric Association, and this year’s Young Optometrist of the South by SECO.
