On the heels of the buzzworthy Met Gala, the Accessories Council hosted its annual celebration honoring a fundamental facet of the fashion industry. The Accessories Council Excellence (ACE) Awards were held on Tuesday, May 7, at The Pierre, an iconic luxury hotel in NYC’s Upper East Side, drawing fashion icons and celebrities including designers Michael Kors and Vera Wang, model Chrissy Teigen, actress Awkwafina, and talk show host Tamron Hall.

EB was in attendance thanks to Marchon Eyewear and EssilorLuxottica, two of the sponsors of the 28th edition of the prestigious awards.

Notably for the eyewear industry, Foster Grant received the Legacy award, presented to a company that has made lasting impacts in the industry and beyond. The brand’s roots date back to 1929, when founder Sam Foster sold his first pair of sunglasses on the Atlantic City Boardwalk. Other 2024 ACE Awards honorees included Aria Logistics, Operational Excellence; Coach, Brand of the Year; Cult Gaia, Design Innovation; Dana Covarrubias, Style Influencer; Elyse Walker, Specialty Retail; Fern Mallis, Hall of Fame; Jared, Retailer of the Year; Larroudé, Rising Star; Linda Fargo, Style Icon; and Prabal Gurung, Designer of the Year.
