March 4, 2021 — The Optical Foundry, founded in 2019, has announced the addition of Article One eyewear to its portfolio of independent eyewear brands (joining l.a.Eyeworks, Fiction, Ogi, Ogi Kids, Seraphin, Seraphin Shimmer, Red Rose, and Scojo New York).

Founded in 2016, independent eyewear brand Article One is known for its handcrafted products, highlighted in the brand’s short film, “A Labor of Love.” The brand produces purpose-driven collections, including the Flint Collection, which benefitted Flint, MI, following the city’s water crisis, featured in the Dec. 2016 issue of EB. In 2017, the brand was honored as the most creative booth at Vision Expo West.
