Aug. 30, 2021 — Silmo Paris optical trade show is gearing up to unite the industry in person from Sept. 24-27 at the Paris Nord Villepinte.

“Finally, the entire industry will be able to gather together again,” says Amélie Morel, president of Silmo Paris.

Fair organizers have shared that more than 500 exhibitors have confirmed attendance. In addition, the show has 53% of international registrations so far.

“Figures so far suggest distribution of France-international participation similar to that of 2019 and lead us to believe we’re on track for a global fair,” says Eric Lenoir, Silmo Paris director.

Trade show highlights include the Silmo Next platform, with a variety of conferences on tap; the Silmo d’Or, prestigious awards celebrating the industry’s greatest new developments and designs; and Silmo Academy, which will award a grant of 10,000 euros for a research project in the field of optics and vision science.
