March 4, 2021 — To provide access to health care services during the Covid-19 pandemic, Walgreens has expanded its digital health platform, Walgreens Find Care, to include 11 new and four expanded collaborations with providers.
Among its latest offerings, Walgreens has expanded its For Eyes partnership, offering patients the ability to virtually try on prescription glasses and sunglasses.
Additional collaborations include diabetes health care technology, hearing, vision, at-home Covid-19 testing, colon cancer screening, lab testing, mental health, musculoskeletal pain, and non-surgical back and neck rehabilitation.
According to Walgreens, use of the company’s Find Care platform, originally launched in July 2018, has increased to nearly 20 million visits (a 13-fold rise in web traffic from last year).
“Walgreens Find Care addresses even more needs during the pandemic by connecting patients to care and helping customers think differently about how their pharmacy can become a resource for more of their health care needs,” says Giovanni Monti, senior VP of health care services, Walgreens Boots Alliance. “In addition to adding new services, with this expansion we are connecting our millions of customers nationwide to a broader mix of health systems and service providers that now offer more than 65 services and treat more than 120 conditions.”
Expanded Walgreens Find Care collaborations, in addition to For Eyes, include Labcorp, McLaren Health Care, and Novant Health. The 11 new collaborations are with Abbott’s Diabetes Care business, AtlantiCare, BetterHelp, Children’s National Hospital, Clinical Reference Laboratory, Cologuard, Hinge Health, Lexie Hearing, myPrivia Virtual Clinic, Sanvello, and SpineZone.
