April 19, 2022 — Organizers of the Envision Conference through Envision University have set the agenda for the upcoming Envision Conference East, taking place from Thursday, May 19, to Saturday, May 21, at Ohio State University. A collaboration with the College of Optometry in Columbus, OH, the multidisciplinary conference aims to close practice gaps and disseminate the latest advancements in rehabilitation techniques, research, and technology.
The two-day schedule of clinical education and research presentations will address a wide range of topics and specialties including optometry, occupational therapy, vision scientists, genetics, neurology, and more. See the full agenda here.
“The multifaceted conference fosters conversations and information sharing among low vision professionals and specialists in a variety of related fields from across the world,” says Michael Epp, Envision’s manager of professional education.
All education and research sessions offer the opportunity to earn continuing education credits from agencies such as the Council on Optometric Practitioner Education, the American Occupational Therapy Association, the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation & Education Professionals, and the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification.
“The variety of classes, the interdisciplinary approach, and quality of education Envision provides has allowed me to grow as a low vision practitioner,” says Laurie Hoffman, O.D., FAAO, of Metrolina Association for the Blind. “The diversity among those present at the Envision Conference allows for great networking opportunities, and I can personally attest to the benefit of having seasoned rehabilitation professionals available as both educators and attendees.”
Early bird registration ends Saturday, April 30.
