Sept. 7, 2023 — The Career Zone will return to Vision Expo West on Saturday, Sept. 30, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., to provide young professionals, optometry and opticianry students, and professionals who are new to the industry the chance to network with participating optical companies that are actively recruiting new talent.
 
Located on the Innovation Stage, the Career Zone is a student lounge that will host a lineup of programming including two panels, “Where Should I Start My Eyecare Career?” and “Building Your Online Presence and Maximizing Your Impact.” View the full schedule here.
 
Vision Expo West takes place Sept. 27-30 at The Venetian Expo in Las Vegas, with the educational program opening on Wednesday, Sept. 27, and the exhibit hall following on Thursday, Sept. 28. Students can access exclusive registration benefits including free exhibit hall admission and access to complimentary education.

Companies participating in this year’s Career Zone are Elevate Eyecare, EssilorLuxottica, EyeCare Partners, Marshfield Clinic Health System, MyEyeDr., Vision Source, VSP Premier, Walmart, and Warby Parker.
 
The passport program will also return to encourage young professionals to network with exhibitors. Participants first pick their passports up in the Career Zone, and those who meet and receive a signature from each vendor listed will be eligible to win prizes ranging from designer sunglasses to gift cards.
