Feb. 15, 2024 — The organizers and co-owners of Vision Expo, The Vision Council and RX, are welcoming the Italian Trade Commission back to Vision Expo East, set to take place March 14-17 at the Javits Center in New York City.
For the first time since 2016, Vision Expo will showcase this group of designers on the exhibit floor as part of the newly created Italian Trade Commission Pavilion, featuring eyewear collections with a diverse range of styles and innovations that demonstrate Italy’s role in shaping the global eyewear market.
“The return of this esteemed delegation is a significant milestone for the show, as Italy's influence on the global eyewear industry is immeasurable,” says Fran Pennella, vice president of Vision Expo at RX. “We look forward to fostering meaningful connections, promoting collaboration, and celebrating the extraordinary craftsmanship that defines Italian eyewear.”
“The U.S. market holds significant importance for Italy's eyewear industry, catering not only to major players but crucially supporting small and medium-sized firms that form the backbone of eyewear manufacturing and distribution,” says Erica Di Giovancarlo, trade commissioner and executive director for the U.S. “We are pleased to bring 18 companies [to showcase] Extraordinary Italian Eyewear.”
