Feb. 29, 2024 — Now in its fourth year, The EASY Way (Eyes, Awareness, Safety, and You) initiative from the Contact Lens Institute assists eyecare professionals in promoting healthy, comfortable contact lens wear and care behaviors, featuring simplified tips, infographics, and digital resources for use in practices.
Available for free on YouTube, the rebooted “EASY Does It” video series features optometrists, opticians, and staff members who describe how ECPs can better reach patients through quick conversations. New episodes feature 2024 CLI Visionaries Monica Bhula, O.D.; Jenn Seymour Brusven, LDO; Janelle Davison, O.D.; Scott Moscow, O.D.; Shalu Pal, O.D.; and Adam Ramsey, O.D.
Directed to patients, the program comprises three steps:
- Think Clean. Wash and dry your hands before touching your lenses or eyes. Reusable lenses should always be cleaned and disinfected with each removal, and lens cases should be cleaned as directed. Keep lenses and cases away from water, which can contain harmful microorganisms.
- Remember Fresher Is Better. Contacts should only be worn for as long as prescribed and replaced on schedule.
- Trust Your Eye Doctor. Listen to your ECP and ask any questions you may have.
