April 18, 2024 — Laramy-K OpticianWorks has partnered with Carrie Wilson, NCLEM, MA, MBA, to develop a new Contact Lens and National Contact Lens Examiner (NCLE) preparation course.
With more than 25 years of experience in the optical industry, Wilson is the founder of Optigal Consulting and a professor of ophthalmic science at the College of Southern Nevada. She was recently featured in EB’s Last Look.
“I am honored to partner with Laramy-K OpticianWorks and share my passion for opticianry and contact lens education with a wider audience," says Wilson. "Our goal is to empower students with the knowledge and skills they need to excel in their careers and contribute to the advancement of the optical industry.”
Featuring both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, the course unpacks the complexities of contact lens fitting, offers the latest industry standards, and grants students access to additional resources including video lectures, interactive modules, quizzes, and email support.
“Carrie Wilson's expertise and teaching ability are exactly what we strive to offer through Laramy-K OpticianWorks, building on the standards set by John Seegers in his development of the OpticianWorks program”, says Keith Benjamin, director of marketing at Laramy-K Optical. “The contact lens course is not just about passing an exam; its goal is to elevate the profession by helping opticians to become better at what they do.”
Membership for the course is now open. For more information and to register: opticianworks.com.
