June 6, 2024 — CooperCompanies released its 2023 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report, highlighting its efforts to improve global health and wellness, protect the environment, and support community initiatives.
In the report, CooperCompanies detailed its investments in employee development programs, environmental protection efforts, and initiatives to expand access to health care in underserved communities.

Aligned with the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) Standards, a framework that identifies significant ESG topics for investors, the 2023 ESG Report includes updated performance data and outlines the company's initiatives for positive impact.

- CooperCompanies earned a score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign's 2023 Corporate Equality Index.
- The company was named among the Top 20 Global Inspiring Workplaces and Top 10 North American Inspiring Workplaces.
- Women account for 49% of management promotions and make up 49% of the global workforce.
- CooperCompanies launched Generation Sight, an initiative for improving myopia management access for children in the U.S. and training future optometrists.
- CooperVision sites in Puerto Rico and Costa Rica achieved LEED Gold certification, totaling eight LEED- or BREEAM-certified facilities overall.
- CooperVision's distribution and packaging center in West Henrietta received Zero Waste Facility certification, diverting over 90% of waste from landfills.
- Through a partnership with Plastic Bank, CooperCompanies prevented 6.9 kilograms of plastic waste from entering the ocean.
- All CooperVision facilities in New York and the U.K. operate with 100% renewable electricity sourcing.
