June 19, 2024 — As planned since the beginning of her term, Lorraine Berton, president of the Italian National Association of Optical Goods Manufacturers (Associazione Nazionale Fabbricanti Articoli Ottici, or ANFAO), has also become president of IES Srl, the service company responsible for the international eyewear tradeshow Mido.

Last July, while awaiting a new ANFAO president, the organization appointed an interim board of directors to ensure the continuous management of IES Srl. Chaired by ANFAO’s former president Giovanni Vitaloni, the board was set up to transition leadership to ANFAO’s future leaders when suitable.

Berton assumed her role after the successful conclusion of Mido 2024, and ANFAO reports that the strategic transition was completed smoothly.

"I want to thank Giovanni Vitaloni for his work over these years," says Berton. "His dedication and commitment have been crucial to the success of Mido and ANFAO’s activities. The projects launched during his term will inspire us to further improve and replicate his success."
