
1-800 Contacts has announced the launch of The Framery, an online eyewear platform that expands the company's presence in the vision care market.
Announced as a simplification of the eyewear purchasing process, The Framery integrates prescription renewals, direct-to-consumer pricing, and digital shopping tools, with frames starting at $79. Customers can also access virtual try-ons and a complimentary home try-on program, which allows them to test up to four frames before making a purchase.
The company has also integrated its ExpressExam service, which enables online prescription renewals and allows customers to store prescriptions for easier eyewear purchases.
