The American Optometric Association (AOA) Foundation has introduced a new scholarship program in partnership with The Silhouette Group, designed to encourage students to share their vision for advancing sustainability in optometry. The Silhouette Scholarship will provide a $2,500 award each year to one second-year optometry student.

Applications are due by Nov. 3, and the recipient will be announced in January 2026.

To be eligible, applicants must be a second-year optometry student (class of 2028), hold membership in both the American Optometric Student Association and the AOA, and meet their institution’s standards for good academic standing.
